hi everybody
for starters maybe i should mention that i live in germany and use an english version of maple 11 but it runs on a german version of win xp (sp2). since i'm writing my thesis in english i need a point to seperate decimal places instead of a comma. this is already the case when i work with maple - i have to enter 1.5 to get one and a half. when plotting graphs, however, maple continues to use a comma instad of a point as delimiter sign when labeling graphs. i checked the options menu and didn't find anything useful (maybe i just missed it). also changing my delimiter sign under system (i don't know how windows names those in eng, but it's something like region and language or locale) didn't help. I'd be thankful for a helpful advice on how to solve it.
decimal point
See this thread. It is for Spanish Win XP but may be similar for German

thanks for the link - i didn't stumble over it while using the search to check if someone had a smilar problem. however, i don't have the problem described there. when i do what he/she descirbed i get 1.5000 it's just the labels on graphs that are botched which remains a mystery...

labels in graphs
With the settings described in my post of that thread I get a decimal point in the graphs also.
