Hi,

    I'm trying to get a component to perform a Fractional Derivative in MapleSim to use in a multibody simulation (as a spring-dash pot component). However, I'm stumped by trying to get the fracdiff function past the custom component code.

  • When set to series, the fractional derivative is only accurate near the estimated about point
  • When set to LaPlace, it's impossible to perform the transform...

I'm developing an application that I'd like to use elements of an array as parameters in MapleSim components - is there a way to use Maple arrays/vectors in MapleSim?

 

Also is there a way to open a file and read its contents (data) as the starting point (parameter set) for a MapleSim simulation?

I need to define a state machine in MapleSim. A Maple procedure would help to solve this issue. How do I include a Maple procedure in my MapleSim model?

Hi all,

I'm working on systems with discontinuities and need to define a finite state machine.

I tried to define one by myself and encountered some errors. The computation of initial conditions complains about either cycles and suggests using a pre-block - I am allready using one - or about inconsistent initial conditions and ignores some constraints. Does the initial condition computing algorithm loop insufficiently?

Hello!

I want to make a model with an inner moving circle touching a non-moving, stiff outer circle. 2 differential equations describe the movement of the inner circle, i already have modelled thisand i have the x and y coordinates of the most "exposed point" which will touch the outer circle, as output variables (i could also add the derivatives as output). When the 2 circles touch, i want to "tell" the differential equation model the 2 new derivatives for x and y...

I would like to know if it´s possible to generate a standalone .exe program based on Maplesim models, to be used out of maplesim and integrated with other tools i have.

I can use compilation in maplesim, but this just speed up the simulation, without giving to me a compiled external code.

I´m having to export maplesim modelica model to openmodelica environment, and generate an exe code there. the input and output parameters are transformed into text...

I don't quite understand about some parameters of flexible beam. Please introduce  briefly.
 
1. Truncation order of inertial terms
2. Truncation order of elastic coordinates
3. Number of elastic coordinates

There is a example "3D rigid slider crank" in the MapleSim examples. Replace the "crank" and the "rod" with flexible beam, turn it into a flexible system, how to do that?

Whenever I have 2 instances of the rotational move block in a model, mserver.exe crashes when I try to run the simulation. Why is this?

Who knows how to model a brushless dc motor?  Can I use a synchronous machine and some circuits? Brushless dc motors do require rotor position information in order to select the appropriate commutation angle. Using three Hall sensors? But how to model a hall sensor or something which can specify the rotor's position and send out a signal? I am looking forward to your answer. If you have some experiences of modeling a double closed-loop dc machine using maplesim, please tell me too.
