today, i stuty a differential equation,  firsy, i conver the equation from cartesian to polar as  follow:

restart: 

sys := diff(x(t), t) = -y(t)+x(t)*(1-2*x(t)^2-3*y(t)^2), diff(y(t), t) = x(t)+y(t)*(1-2*x(t)^2-3*y(t)^2):

then  using transformation x=r*cos(theta),y=r*sin(theta) convert it to polar coordinate,and get:

sys1:=diff(r(t), t) = r(t)*(1-2*r(t)^2-r(t)^2*sin(theta(t))^2), diff(theta(t), t) = 1

then  plot...

i study a simple differential equations as follow and get the solution,but i faced two warning which puzzle me:

> restart;
> eq2 := diff(x(t), t) = x(t), diff(y(t), t) = x(t)^2+y(t)^2-1;
   ans1 := dsolve({eq2, x(0) = 1, y(0) = -1}, numeric, [x(t), y(t)], range = -10 .. 10)       ;

Warning, cannot evaluate the solution further left of -1.1646698, probably a singularity

i have 2 differential equations and want to solve the first one when x is positive and the second when x ist negativ. For this problem i wrote the follwing procedure. But when i try i have the posted error. Has someone a good idea to help me?

I'm new to Maple and am using it to solve linear and non-linear differential equations.

I can solve and plot linear DEs using a couple of methods. Im trying to solve a non-linear DE and i could find the series solution using dsolve. But given certain initial conditions, is there any way to plot or see the nature of the behaviour of the DE? I just want to see how the DE will look like maybe for certain points up to a certain level of accuracy. Is there any way to do that?

I am fairly new to Maple and trying to understand the dsolve command for numerical solutions and plotting graphs of radial distances and trajectory plots.
This is my code below. All of it successfully brings up a solution apart from the very last command and I don't understand why it is not working.

I'm solving a differential equation which has a boundary at infinity, when I add this third condition it returns nothing. Of course I it's easy to solve by hand but it should be done in a loop. can you give me a hint on this?

I am trying to solve a system of nonlinear 36 differential-algebraic equations numerically in Maple. The last line of my code is the dsolve(.) command which is used to solve the DAE system. My problem is that it takes forever to evaluate the dsove(.) command. Maple does not give me any errors/warning, however, it keeps evaluating, and evaluating...nothing happens...

 

I have used stiff solvers as well hoping to make the process faster but that dowsn't work either.

When I was trying to solve a differential equation with dsolve, I've got such a error report:

> dsolve({Q(0) = F[Az], diff(Q(x), x) = q[2](x)});
Error, (in dsolve) found the following equations not depending on the unknowns
of the input system: {Q(0) = -(1/4)*l^2*q[0]-(1/4)*l^2*q[0]*exp(2)+F}
 

But if I only write:

> dsolve(diff(Q(x),x)=q[2](x));

then there is no problem. 

 It is the mathematica code for bifurcation diagram of the model that i am working with now. is there anybody who can translate it into maple code? or does anyone can help me with making a bifurcation diagram for such a ODE system in maple??
