How to solve this problem:

 style = line option is not executed within the command Statistics [PointPlot].

Statistic[PointPlot]

 But right click on the graph Style / line is obtained as expected. Except that when you run the initial command, Statistics [PointPlot] ... back to the previous graph.

I am fairly new to Maple and trying to understand the dsolve command for numerical solutions and plotting graphs of radial distances and trajectory plots.
This is my code below. All of it successfully brings up a solution apart from the very last command and I don't understand why it is not working.
I believe the last plot is plotting a trajectory plot but I am not sure. I am meant to use the solution to plot the trajectory plot (X(t),Y9t))=(r(t...

Hello.

I would like to do 2D pointplot, where each x,y come from GPS reading, and each point have a colour dependent on z, where z is same measurement taken in each position ...

Plotting in Maple

December 02 2011 by Lockoman 5 Maple

Hello there!

I'm looking for some help with my maple code ^^

Here's the problem:

I have 2 Arrays, A and B. A is an array of points each with its own x and y coordinate ( [[1,3],[5,4],[4,5],...] ) array B is an array of values ( [0.5,0.2,0.1,0.6,.....] ). My goal here is to plot with a dot on each of the coordinates in A with a circle around them of radius of the corresponding value in B. ( the first point [1,3] will be printed on the graph as well as a circle of radius 0.5 ...

Hi all! I have a list of data. I can use pointplot to plot them. Now, whatshould I do if I want to connect (join) these points toghether like an ellipse or rectangle or others form? For example:

S := [[1,1], [3,1], [4,2], [3,3], [2,3], [1,2]];

thanks

Hi, I have 2 sets of data:

P := array([1.23, 1.15, 1.10, 1.20, 1.35, 1.25, 1.28, .99, 1.22, 1.25, 1.30, 1.05]);
Q := array([892, 1012, 1060, 987, 680, 739, 809, 1275, 946, 874, 720, 1096]);
p=P(t), q=Q(t) i.e. both p & q are a function of parameter t  t=1..12

2 functions:
x=ln(p)
y=ln(q)
I'm trying to display x against y , ie x=ln(p) on the horizontal axis, y=ln(q) on the vertical

Hi:

I have three lists: [x],[y1] and [y2] and want to plot y1 and y2 against x.

The command

pointplot(x,y1) gives me what I want for y1 and

pointplot(x,y2) gives me what I want for y2, BUT

I can't figure out a way to put y1 and y2 on the SAME plot against x instead of two separate plots.

There must be a way... any suggestions?

Thanks.

Paper Models of 3D Plots

3D Paper Physical Model

I have a variable number of pointplots c[1] .. c[i] and i want to plot all in a single plot.

I tried display(c[k],k=1..i); or display(c[k]$k=1..i); but i got an error. Typing evey list like: display(c1,c2,c3,....); is not possible because i is variable. What can i do?

Hi all,

I want to save a plot into Array or other and re-plot it by pointplot.

restart:with(plots):

f:=x->cos(x)+cos(x)^2;

plot(f(x),x=0..2*Pi);

With Array, I want to determine dx (step) of the plot (Array) and the dimension of Array (number of line and column).

If Pk:=plot(f(x),x=0..2*Pi); is Array, I can reproduce the plot as:

ef := {seq([Pk[i,1], Pk[i,2]], i = 1 .. N)}: # Pk[i,1] is x and Pk[i,2] is f(x), N number of line of Array
