@Leighmm No, I don't believe you can.  I've been pushing for this option for a few releases now.  There may be a workaround.

@tomleslie it's easy to understand his confusion once it's all layed out, but was trying to not give him the direct answer right away.

@ecterrab ah yes, thanks.

Using the answer you got

a := (-1/2+exp(2))*(x-2)-ln(2)+exp(2)

simplify(a)

evalf(%,3) # evaluate the last expression to 3 decimals

@al-faraj that is correct

the equation of the tangent line for f(x)=-ln(x)+exp(x) at x=2 is that.

y=6.89x-7.1

your commas instead of decimals were confusing.

@al-faraj Just simplify and you'll be fine.

@al-faraj what answer are you expecting?

Should we delete them or leave them for mapleprimes facilitators?

I've seen it happening a lot in the last few weeks.

I think mapleprimes needs to add captcha's when people create new accounts.  That might help

@Noor2015 You are seeing a summarized version of a matrix.

To view the matrix after execution you need to set interface(rtablesize=500) or some large number if you want.

Or right click on the matrix summary and choose browse to view the values.

@Preben Alsholm yes thanks that is what I was looking for.

I thought you were involved in the answer.  You were one of the users I searched the answers for but couldn't find it or I missed it.

Indeed if replies were shown I would have probably found it.  Users answers don't show replies nor is there a list containing replies.

@Carl Love if you do find it please post the link.  I think the original ops question was rather vague which is making it difficult to find.  I can't recall who was involved in the answer but it could help.  I'm pretty sure it was posted within this year (2015).  Key wording in the question would help me find it but I can't remember more than the animation and I don't think he used the word earthquake either.

There was an 2d animation of a house moving back and forth on ground that was also moving but slightly out of phase.  I looked in a few users answers but no luck yet.  anyone?

Ah, it was something in the sheet name that was causing the issues.  I chose to rename the sheet used the same name and resaved it.  After that no problems.  Must have been a hidden character or something.

I envy some things Mathematica can do.  I can't say which company is better to work for.  I think Wolfram is a much bigger company and I would agree it is more flexible, and more responsive.  Both companies I believe are focused on creating great tools for their customers.  I don't think either company does not care about it's customers, both do.

And the business sleight of hand I will call it -  Taking a random fuzzy image and using deconvolve is quite different than using an deconvolved image that has been convolved by the same program .. which is what I believe is what happened with the one image, I think you agreed with your likely explanation.

Curiously what was Maplesofts reply to the factual list that was presented to them above?

You mentioned the document was not updated but also note that Mathematica's comparison also did not correct/update their side of the story either.
