We are currently in the process of updating the support FAQs at https://faq.maplesoft.com. We’ve been working on updating the existing content for clarity, and have added several new articles already.

 

The majority of our FAQs are from questions people ask us in Technical Support by support request form, but we’d also like to like to add content from other sources.

Since we have such a great community here at MaplePrimes, we wanted to reach out and ask if there are any articles or questions that you'd like to see added to our FAQ.

I was intersted in finding Weyl scalars for a given metric, would be really helpful if anyone can give me an example of how to find a Weyl Scalar for a given metric or set of null tetrads using Debever formalism in Tensor package(more specifically, how to define h in debever formalism for a given set of null tetrad or for a given metric).

Hi, 
I love programming in Maple and I am interested in using MapleNet to display Maplets I have created. However, I am a novice in software and web technology. My questions, do I only need creating Maple worksheets, establishing interfaces and uploading the worksheets at an appropriate server in order to be able using MapleNet without any additional software? Can MapleNet display both GUI-based and command-driven-based Maplets on the web? Btw, I already read and downloaded "5 Developing Worksheets for MapleNet" but I do not fully understand its contents due to technical terms used in it.
I noticed that the following website: http://www.maplenet.net/ offers web services commercially. Does this website
have any relationship with MapleNet from Maplesoft or one of the most appropriate servers to upload and play our worksheets with MapleNet?

For some time I have been running into the problem where uploaded worksheets that are inlined into a Mapleprimes post get gridlines shown, even when they are not specified or shown in the original worksheet. This is a problem because quite often the gridlines make an inlined plot unattractive.

I believe that Mapleprimes uses some version of MapleNet as a mechanism for inlining uploaded worksheets.

It seems that the Standard GUI and/or MapleNet have special handling for gridlines in the sense that they actually distinguish between PLOT structures generated without the `gridlines` option versus those created with `gridlines=false`.  I believe that this has something to do with the persistence of various plot qualities in an output region which (perhaps for historical reasons?)  allow re-execution of a plot input command to produce a plot output rendering that remembers whether gridlines are visible.

If the second plot below does indeed get rendered here in Primes without gridlines visible then one workaround is evident: adding `gridlines=false` instead of omitting the option.
