I tried the method suggested by Joe but am getting the same message. The worksheet is here,

Your Questions:

1. Is it really column 6 of ysol[2,1] that should be used, or is it column 5?

This depends on the system.Probably I had an error in the file I uploaded in the column number.In general, if I have n equations the column number is n+1.

2. Should the normed comparison inside objective SS, between data Vector Exp and computed Vector V, involve fewer entries when the computed solution detects a singularity?

This is a very good question to which I have found no solution as to how to override this.What I need is if dsolve detects a singularity is to put a very high value for epsilon(t) and move forward.With this my norm stays high and the solution can continue.Any suggestions?

3. Should SS return infinity when no solution comes from dsolve?

Same as above.

Here is the data.The first column is the time in hours and the second is the creep strain in % (multiplied by 0.01 to change to strain in the worksheet).

@Joe: Thanks again.The command works to isolate the symbols specified in the worksheet.But there are other user names accompanying it.

@jakubi: By description I mean what each symbol means. If I could somehow describe the symbols I repeatedly use e.g. T (Temperature) once somewhere and Maple recognises it and generates a list at the end of the worskeet( like Latex).

Thanks a lot Joe for your suggestions.Indets works fine for a single expression as you mentioned.I have not fully understood the application of anames and unames,thanks to Maple documentation,which I believe is one of the worst software help that is there.

For a list of all the symbols in the complete worksheet I would have to assign names to my symbols.Can I generate a user name list for my symbols and can Maple then generate a list of symbols with names/description?
